"The Kraken" Henry Keyes is larger than life. Once DEFIANCE Wrestling's most gregarious man with an outrageous gimmick as an Airship Pirate, in the 2020's he has established himself as one of the most powerful and outrageous competitors in all of professional wrestling. Much of his past is shrouded in a mix of wild stories and mystery; there's an Airship involved, a white tiger named Helen, gallons of absinthe, and a small army of helpful Plague Doctors (there's a job for every Plague Doctor and a Plague Doctor for every job) (yes, one of them is an actual doctor) (he goes by Doctor Plague Doctor).
Keyes is an absolutely dominant force with a trophy case that seems to grow by the month. His friends would call him fiercely loyal; his enemies know that he can hold a grudge just about forever. His very best friend/his Bestie is Lindsay Troy, and together they are Co-Consuls of Vae Victis, one of the most prestigious factions in wrestling today.
A boundary-pushing icon in an industry that seems to have fewer and fewer boundaries left, he turned the color blue into one of wrestling's biggest controversies. He used an IHOP sponsorship to sneak a "midget battle royal" past the censors. He wore an eyepatch for two years just to get them over again (because eyepatches are for pirates). He made Benny Colton faint with a single look.
Many had thought Keyes was approaching retirement after a series of injuries forced him out of action for most of 2024, when he was actually waiting for the perfect moment for his grandest stroke to date. He made an absolutely shocking return from injury and captured DEFIANCE's top prize, the FIST, in the main event of the promotion's biggest show of the year, DEFCON. As FIST, he has made it known that he views himself and Vae Victis as the very foundation of excellence in professional wrestling today.
