Rules
Hello and welcome to PRIME! Thanks for giving us a look. Please read over our fed description and rules carefully before applying; if you’re accepted, it will be with the understanding that you have read and agreed to everything stated here. The rules may be modified at any time and at staff’s discretion.
1. CODE OF CONDUCT
1.1 PRIME does not tolerate racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia, or bigotry of any form in our roleplays, on our shows, on our website, or in our Discord. Anyone caught engaging in such activity inside or outside the fed will be fired.
1.2 PRIME staff expects everyone in our community to treat one another with respect and dignity. We don’t expect everyone to agree with each other on everything, but we do expect everyone to act like adults. Good-natured ribbing is fine but any bullying, abuse, or disregard for personal feelings will not be tolerated.
1.3 Any handler caught plagiarizing, aka the act of taking someone else’s work and passing it off as one’s own, will be fired. Additionally, recycling previous work from other feds to use in PRIME, unless posting it for character development purposes only, is not allowed, nor is using AI programs to write all or part of your RPs, segments, matches, etc.
2. JOINING PRIME
2.1 PRIME is an original wrestler efed, which means all characters must be of your own creation. We do not accept characters that are real-life wrestlers or fighters (e.g. Kenny Omega, Big E, Amanda Nunes, etc.).
2.2 PRIME is a bi-weekly roleplay fed where winners are determined by the strength of writers’ roleplays (or “promos”) for a match. When PRIME first started, we were one of the first feds to subscribe to the “one shot wrestling” principle, where matches were decided by 1RP vs. 1RP, and for our relaunch we will be holding true to our roots. More information on roleplays may be found a little further down the page.
2.3 PRIME is not WWE or TNA. While there are big budget aspects (PRIMEView, pyro, HD video production, etc.), this is not a “sports entertainment” atmosphere. We want to put a spotlight on wrestling in the vein of AEW, New Japan, Ring of Honor, etc. while also telling amazing stories both on the shows and in RPs. In the PRIMEverse, we consider wrestling to be a legitimate sport where results are not predetermined, and rivalries, friendships, match results, attacks and injuries are treated as real. We understand that some suspension of disbelief may be necessary, and any questions may be directed to PRIME’s staff. Lastly, real promotions like WWE, AEW, etc. do exist in our universe, however because they predetermine their results we consider them separate from PRIME and do not acknowledge them.
2.4 Theme music and finishers, with limited exceptions on finishers for legacy characters, are allowed on a first-come, first-serve basis and are up to staff’s discretion.
2.5 PRIME has always been a poser fed and we are using Daz3D to create original artwork for our characters. It is our intention that everyone on our roster will have a poser, however there is a waiting period before one is produced to ensure handlers are not simply joining the fed to receive artwork only to leave immediately after.
2.6 PRIME staff has final say on all issues and encourages handlers to come to them with suggestions, questions, and concerns. Staff consists of:
- Lindz (fedhead, booker, RP scoring, marketing, talent relations, social media, matchwriting, website updates, owl commander)
- Brock (booker, RP scoring, matchwriting, talent relations, graphics/posers, 2nd in command; his say goes when Lindz is not around)
- Alex C. (booker, RP scoring, matchwriting, talent relations)
Additional staff may be added as time goes on.
2.7 Applying to PRIME under an assumed identity without consulting staff first is strongly discouraged and discovery will result in firing.
3. SHOW INFO AND BOOKINGS
3.1 PRIME is a touring company whose headquarters is located in Las Vegas, Nevada.
3.2 PRIME’s television show is called ReVival and airs on the newly-founded ACE NETWORK on Friday nights at 10PM EST/7PM PST. The TV show’s spelling is a homage to our original show, ReVolution. The ACE NETWORK is akin to FITE TV. ReVivals and Supershows are available on demand after initial airing. ReVivals are posted on Friday nights and Supershows are posted on Friday and Saturday nights with live show results airing on our Twitch channel. Bookings for the next ReVival or Supershow (as applicable) will be posted either that same night or on Saturday.
3.3 There will be four Supershows a year: Culture Shock, UltraViolence, Ascension (or a substitute, e.g. Tropical Turmoil, Great American Nightmare, etc.), and Colossus, our biggest show of the year. The Almasy Invitational, when we run it, takes place during the Colossus arc. During the years we don’t run the Almasy Invitational, we substitute it for other tournaments (e.g., in 2026, we are running Survivor for the second time during the Ascension arc).
3.4 PRIME offers the following titles:
- The Universal Title: The top belt in the company with a long and storied history
- The Five Star Title: Our “pure” wrestling title to showcase our technical experts
- The Intense Title: Like to brawl? Want to draw some blood? This is the belt for you
- The Alias Title: The champ gets to choose the name of the belt and the stipulations under which it will be defended. Three successful defenses gets you a shot at either the Intense or Five Star Title
- Tag Team Titles: Grab a buddy or a frenemy and battle it out in tandem
Both the Five Star Title and the Intense Title are considered “second-tier” titles in PRIME; one is not higher or lower in prestige than the other. We do not offer “rematch clauses” to our champions once they lose their titles; rematches are up to staff’s discretion.
3.5 ReVival and Supershow matches are written in full with word limits (think 100 words for one minute of action), although Supershow matches tend to be longer than matches for TV. Segments and matches are due Thursday evenings at 8PM Central to allow for editing prior to show posting; this is a hard deadline and anything not submitted by this time may not be included on our shows.
3.5.1 Handlers may only write their own matches with staff permission. This is to ensure matches are balanced and nobody goes into business for themselves/puts themselves over at their opponent’s expense.
3.6 Handlers are booked in matches on an every-other-show basis unless otherwise requested. If time off is needed for any reason, please let staff know.
3.7 We understand that sometimes, things come up unexpectedly and no-shows happen. If for any reason you know that you won’t be able to post an RP after you’ve already been booked, please let staff know as soon as possible. If you no-show with no explanation, you will be removed from your next scheduled booking. If you no-show again, you will be removed from PRIME.
3.8 Staff will post a matchwriting sign-up sheet for each ReVival show and Supershow in Discord as well as a segment sign-up sheet. To ensure that everyone has an opportunity to have a segment on a show, we ask that roster members not sign up for more than one per show unless staff approves otherwise. Depending on roster size, this limit may be adjusted.
4. ROLEPLAYING AND RP SCORING
4.1 Each match will have a 1RP limit with a 3,500 maximum word cap. Tag matches will have the same limit with each team posting 1RP with a 3,500 maximum word cap. No overage is allowed. Staff will be using the word counter in WordPress (not GoogleDocs and not WordCounter.net) to check everyone’s word limits.
4.1.1 This does not mean that your RPs must be 3,500 words. It simply means that your RPs cannot go over 3,500 words. If you have questions, please ask staff.
4.1.2 Staff believes in QUALITY over QUANTITY, meaning the QUALITY of the RPs produced will always win out over the QUANTITY of words written.
4.2 There will be a one week roleplay period with deadlines on Saturday nights at 11:59PM Central. This is a hard deadline; staff will not be giving extensions. Any RPs posted after the deadline will not count, so post early if at all possible to avoid any issues. If you need the entire RP period to post a roleplay, that’s OK too. There will be a 10 minute editing window after posting where you can edit your RP for grammar/spelling/spacing errors without penalty. WordPress does have a “Preview Post” feature as well and staff strongly suggests all handlers use this feature to identify issues ahead of time.
4.2.1 If you are having issues posting your RP to the website, you MUST notify Staff prior to the deadline AND you MUST submit your RP via email or Google Docs share to applytoprimeATgmailDOTcom. If Staff does not receive your RP via email or Google Docs share before the RP deadline is up, your RP will not count.
4.3 Staff prefers that pictures and links in roleplays are not used and that colored text is not used at all.
4.4 Do not use characters, including staff characters, that are not your own in roleplays or segments without permission. Do not attack or physically harm characters, including staff characters, that are not your own in roleplays or segments without permission.
4.5 Do not have your character involved/attached to any real wrestling figures or promotions. Using a reference to real professional wrestlers in your narrative in order to explain a concept is permitted.
Examples of what’s not permitted:
My buddy the Rock said you’re a jabroni.
I was trained by Bryan Danielson.
I beat John Cena 15 times for the WWE World Title.
Example of what’s permitted:
Wrestler A and I had a huge rivalry. We fought all over the country like Flair and Steamboat.
4.5.1 Along the same lines as 4.5, do not have your character attached/involved with any real life people and do not use real life people in your roleplays or segments. It’s fine to have your character mention events or places to explain concepts or backstory, but please keep this within the realm of realism. Additionally, please remember that your characters are professional wrestlers first and foremost, not actors or models or sports stars or sneaky spiez, etc.
Examples of what’s not permitted:
I won the NBA MVP award the night before winning the Universal Title.
I’ve been cast in the new Martin Scorsese movie.
Florence Pugh, Margot Robbie, and I are getting mani/pedis at 1:00.
Example of what’s permitted:
I took my kids to see Barbie during the off-week.
We ate at Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen restaurant.
My flight to ReVival got canceled because of Tropical Storm Ophelia.
4.6 Roleplays that include any offensive or explicit content (including r*pe or child p*rn) are not allowed and will result in a handler’s termination from PRIME. Refer back to Rule 1.1.
4.7 Going OOC/Blatantly breaking the 4th wall in roleplays and segments is frowned upon and will result in point deductions and/or a loss. Multiple occurrences will result in firing. This includes mentioning a handler in a roleplay, using personal information about a handler in a roleplay, etc. Staff knows some folks like to give nods to OOC things and “nudge” the 4th wall in their writing but flagrantly abusing this as described above is not permitted. Please ask staff if you are unsure if something may be over the line.
4.8 Traditionally, roleplays in PRIME have reflected the lives of our roster. With this relaunch it should be made clear that all competitors are first and foremost professional wrestlers. To that end, staff will be using the following criteria to judge roleplays:
- Character Development – 40%
- Entertainment/Creativity – 40%
- Relevance – 13.33%
- Readability – 6.67%
The following subsections provide some examples of each bullet point and are by no means a complete list of what a writer can include in their roleplays or what the staff looks for when judging.
4.8.1 Character Development
Character development can be accomplished in a number of ways, including but not limited to: scenes in the roleplay that tell a story, how your character interacts with secondary characters in his/her/their universe, via flashbacks and flash-forwards, or even through promos (“shoots”) or blog entries (more on this in the “Relevancy” section). The most important thing is ensuring your character has depth, personality, and clear motivations so the reader becomes invested in them and in your story.
4.8.2 Entertainment/Creativity
Think about some of the best roleplays (or short stories, or books, or articles, etc.) that you’ve read. Something about them was memorable, whether it was the dialogue, the prose, the theme, the setting, the plot, or even the character(s) themselves. The readers (and the judges) want to be left with a lasting impression on what they’ve read. This is the heart of this category.
4.8.3 Relevance
Wrestlers gotta wrestle, right? Just like with character development, relevancy can be accomplished in a number of ways. It should be made clear to the reader that your character is a wrestler and they have a match coming up.
A note on promos/”shoots:” writing a promo or a “shoot” in an RP is not required in PRIME; if you want to do it, go for it, but you won’t be penalized if you choose to explore relevancy another way. Staff wants to make it clear that since the RP limit is one per match, should one person/team write a “shoot” in their RP the other person/team may not directly reply to it/mention aspects of it in theirs. Using other on-card happenings and prior match RPs for ammo is fair game, but directly replying to content posted for your match is not permitted and may result in point deductions and/or a loss, depending on severity.
4.8.4 Readability
Ensuring your story is easy to follow and flows well helps ensure readers stay immersed and enjoy what they’re reading. Making sure your roleplay is mostly free of spelling, grammar, spacing issues, colors and pictures helps with this too.
4.9 PRIME Staff members are allowed to compete in the fed, however they are not allowed to contend for singles titles, nor are they allowed to judge their matches or be privy to the results of their matches before shows are posted.
4.10 Losses are a part of efedding and, rest assured, everyone at some point is going to lose in PRIME. Staff asks that if you disagree with a match result, or a decision we make, please send us a Discord message and talk to us in private. We’re happy to talk things out and give feedback if asked. At the end of the day, this is a game and we want everyone to have fun.
